Tis the Season

I have no pics to post because I can't find the cable to hookup our digital and download them. But for journaling purposes I will write about our 2007 Christmas. We spent the Holiday with Quinn's family in Blackfoot Idaho. It was a winter wonderland and our kids had a blast. Quinn spent many hours pulling Reece and Quincy on an intertube behind the 4-wheeler. They had so much fun. Trey loved riding on the front with his Dad but it was just too cold for him to stay out for long. As for the actual Christmas Day event- all the kids were happy with what they gave and received. We spoiled Reece with a motorcycle. A little one but none the less. Of course he couldn't ride it because the ground was buried in snow but he was so excited. Quincy got her "pink" guitar and dolls that she asked for and Trey loved all the wrapping paper and boxes. Christmas day all of Quinn's extended family travel to his parents house to exchange presents. It is a houseful let me say. Norman and Irene, their ten children and spouses, their children and spouses and children. Did you catch all that. There is usually about 50 people there. It's fun to catch up with everyone and be entertained by some of the gag gifts that are presented prior to the "real" gift. I have learned over the years to wear a short sleeve shirt if I don't want to suffocate. With all those people it gets mighty hot in that house! We arrived back home safe and sound. All the Christmas decorations are packed away and I am anxious to welcome the new year. In about 3 weeks I will be ready for spring but will have to bide my time for about another 3 months. Ok I am on the hunt for that darn cable so I can post pics.

Reece was excited to tell Santa about all his Christmas wishes.

Quincy is really into Christmas this year. She is all about Santa

Trey battles severe food allergies and although we do our best to keep his diet allergen free sometimes we don't check labels thoroughly enough- we're still learning. Anyway he ate some sausage that had a wheat binder in it-consequently he wasn't feeling too great by the time he got to Santa's lap. Still he manages to look so cute!

Ok so it's 10:37 p.m. on Sunday night and I had the urge to recommit to my blog. It is such a great way to share with family and friends. One of my 2008 resolutions will be to keep my blog current with the latest happenings at the Peterson's. I will attempt to share recent pics of kids and if all goes well I will post pictures of our newly remodeled house later.
