Fun in the Sun

We have season passes to http://www.roaringpsrings.com. Check it out! It's one of the largest outdoor water parks and to think it's practically in our backyard. Can't wait to hit the water with all my extended family in a few weeks. I like season passes because I don't feel like I have to stay all day just to get my money's worth. We have only been a few times this summer- we'll definately have to squeeze several more trips in to make buying the passes worth it. I took some pics and of course Reeces is off riding all the big rides so he's not in any of them.
You can also check out Trey's shiner. He fell on the edge of the concrete steps just right to bruise his eye.

Trey not happy about his fall.

Trey enjoying the teeter totter- sponge bob belongs to some random stranger that held the ride so I could take a picture.

Quincy is getting ready to go down the new kids water slide.

The week in a nutshell

Last week was crazy busy. On Monday, hum let's see- I can't even remember what I did on Monday except I know I packed for my Seattle trip- Yup that's right off to Seattle once again. Selina and I headed up North for a Scentsy party- my sister was kind enough to host one, thanks Darcy. Airfare was cheap and I'm always up for seeing my family. Trey still flies free so he came along. Reece and Quincy played with friends, thanks Bethany, and neighbors in my absence. Tuesday in Seattle was filled with shopping, lunch, a neice and nephews, my sister, my mom and a National cemetary. We had a great day. Wed was lunch with my mom and Selina, some more fun with my neice and nephews and a day on the town in Seattle with my cousin, Jeremy- thanks Jeremy for the great time. Of course a trip to Seattle wouldn't be complete without some arm wrestling and wall sitting- look out book club! I'm going to be so ready for the September 29th rematch!

The cemetary was awesome. My mom was our tour guide and it was much more interesting with all the information she gave us.

Looking up at the space needle. Pretty cool. Look at that blue sky.

Last time we were in Seattle with the book club Selina didn't get to ride in the Vipor, no time. We made time this trip- it was one of her highlights. No thanks for me. I'll take the 4-door Mercedes sedan sitting next to it.

Who couldn't resist a picture with this hunk?
Jeremy and me!
Jeremy and Selina. We're at the top of the needle.
Koda, my neice.

Gavin, trey and Bryar-
Bryar has a lot of energy- good arm work out though.
It was a close match but Jeremy beat me in the arm wrestling.
Here I am showing off my strength- Look out girls!

All in one week

See below for text......
S

I was starting to travel down the self pity trail but decided to blog about my week instead. Our lives are, for the most part, pretty mellow-for which I am grateful. In attempt to review a whole week's worth of events in one blog entry our lives suddenly took on some excitement. YEE HAW
Tuesday July 1- celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. WOW!
Thursday July 3- Got my hair cut- it's short but I really like it and it's not as short as it could be.
Friday & Saturday- July 4 & 5th- Quinn took Reece and Quincy camping up in the Challis National forest. Those three love to camp. I stayed behind with Trey because well quite frankly camping isn't my cup of tea and I needed to prepare for my gospel doctrine lesson.
Sunday July 6th- Bid farewell to our feline friend- Zoey. Trey's allergies were acting up too much. We had to take our beloved cat to the Human Society. It was a sad day.
Monday July 7th- got the house in order for the week.
Tuesday July 8th- Trey is sick. Has a bad cough and wheezing. Nothing that a few breathing treatments can't handle- at least I hope it doesn't get any more serious.

Sleepless in Seattle

Seattle was the destination for the book club's 5th year anniversary. My sister was gracious enough to let us stay in her house and use her car while her and husband were away in sunny Sandiego. We had so much fun. The weather and the company could NOT have been better. All 6 girls made it to the airport with time to spare-and it's a good thing too because leave it to Selina to get held up in security. Given the situation what else could a friend do beside snap a photo?
We spent the plane ride plotting the next three days. Friday morning we were greeted with a blue, sunny sky. It was going to be a great day in downtown Seattle. We hit Pike's Place market first to see the fisherman. As a reward for her heckling Selina was taped to the counter while the fishermen threw fish over her head. It was so funny. I have a video but no clue how to post it on my blog. After that we made the trek to the water front to dine on what else? Fish! Yummy. We ate at a Seattle trademark, Ivar's. It was yummy and entertaining. Some of the group had never been to Seattle so an ordinary event of seagulls eating from one's hand became very entertaining.

Selina, Cyrina, Jody, Me, Tiffany on the waterfront. Susan is snapping the pic.
Susan giving old man Ivars a kiss on the cheek while Jody takes a seat.
After a day of walking and shopping we were desperate for an activity that involved sitting. Ferry boat ride anyone?

Mount. Rainer in crystal view- a rare site.
I captured this profile picture of Cyrina as the sun was setting. Isn't it beautiful?
Saturday we went to Snoqualmie Falls, hike and had a picnic with my mom and Bryar.

The Falls were beautiful.

After Snoqualmie we ventured to Ikea in search of treasure. Saturday evening we opted for a nice quiet, rent a movie, eat take-out kinda night. What it turned into was anything but. All these pics are on Selina's camera so you'll just have to close your eyes and get your own visual. After dinner we started arm wrestling each other-I was completely amazed at certain individual's strength and very disappointed in my own. We then moved to leg wrestling, and various other contests, such as push ups, plank, wall sit and sit ups. After that some of the girls decided to relive their cheerleading days and we built a human pyramid. Of course the night was topped off with some WWF style wrestling. I think we are all very competitive and once we got started there was just no stopping us. We will be rematching all of our moves on September 29th. Until then we are all in serious training.

Sunday we rose bright an early to make it to my parent's 9:00 a.m. church. It was a great block. After church we dined at my parents and headed off to the airport. We made a minor detour to my cousin's house. Words can not describe the beauty of his house or the view (he is on Lake Washington). It is simply amazing. I am visiting Seattle again in a few weeks and hope to take pics then.

Book clubbers in our Sunday best.

A big shout out to all of our awesome hubby's who willingly cared for our babies (not technically)in our absence. It was an unforgettable weekend.
