it's that time again....

Mom and Trey.

Trey showing how big he is wearing the mask.

Dad and Trey.

Every few months Trey catches a cold and it ALWAYS turns into asthma. I can't help but think of the scripture....if you are prepared ye shall not fear. When he was just a little guy (4 months old) he had his first "asthma attack"(apparently the medical professionals don't call it asthma in children that young). He was diagnosed with a "non specific bronchial infection". HUH??? For a week we were in and out of the urgent care/doctor's office for breathing treatments. It was very scary. The doctor gave us a prescription for a nebulizer so we could purchase our own. He also gave us ample tubes of elbuterol (spelling???). NOW we are prepared. When the attacks start we are able to meet his needs right at home. One recent discovery- Trey willingly cooperates with his mask. No more crying and holding him down.

Ami, I know what you are going through. Landon got RSV when he was 9 months old and up until this year, each time he caught a cold it was breathing treatments and the same meds. Poor guy!!! There is another medicine called Pulmacort that is more of a maintence med instead of albuterol-which I think is a steroid-that is good too. Hope you all get feeling better soon!

What a good boy! That makes it a little easier to deal with when they cooperate-but good luck!

Poor little guy. He's such a big boy to do his inhaler like that. Avery still freaks out but Drew actually likes doing it.
You look really good by the way!

Chiropractic alignments should do the trick. Those guys are freakin geniuses. Do you know anyone who could tell you anything about "elbuterol" or other breathing treatments?
